It doesn’t have to stay this hard.
Specialized therapy for moms
with Dr. Kendal Cassidy
Some of us are struggling to conceive, some are expecting, some have experienced grief and loss, some are adjusting after their baby is here, and some are seasoned moms feeling burnt out by the never ending demands. Regardless of what stage you are in, many of us moms will find ourselves at some point thinking: It isn’t supposed to be this hard.
Does any of the following
feel familiar?
Your mood is hard to cope with (feeling down, worried or constantly irritable and full of rage)
You can’t keep up with the demands or feel crushed by the weight of all that is expected of you
You can’t stop worrying or envisioning the worst
Your relationship has new tension or resentment
You don’t feel like yourself
You are suffering from loss and grief
You feel isolated and consumed by your challenges
Let me introduce myself.
Feel free to watch the video below to learn a bit more about who I work with and what the next steps are for getting started. You can also feel free to scroll down and read more if you are not in a space to watch a video.
So how does this work?
My name is Dr. Kendal Cassidy and I am a psychologist providing therapy tailored to women in their motherhood journey. I know that finding a therapist and taking the steps to begin therapy can be an exhausting process, so let me outline how this might go.
Step one
Look through my page, including my faqs, billing, and credentials. See if I feel like I could potentially be a good fit.
Step Two
Reach out and schedule a brief free phone consultation with me (plan for around 15 minutes), or email me for additional times: drcassidy@ascendpsychpllc.com
Step Three
On the day of your selected consultation, I will give you a call to discuss: Reasons you are seeking a therapist, some information about my practice, and whether I am the right fit for you
Step four
If it feels we are a good fit, we will schedule an intake appointment where we will have our first full session! If I am not the right fit, we can discuss next steps or referrals to keep this ball rolling.
Get to know me
I love what I do. I spent nearly ten years in training in order to do what I do. But wow, did motherhood show me I still had much to learn.
I truly enjoy supporting women so that they can actually enjoy their motherhood experience, grieve their losses, and find better balance with all that life has thrown at them. I knew for quite a while that I wanted to specialize in perinatal therapy, but after my own rocky entry into motherhood I realized just how deep the problems go and felt reinforced to be the support you need.
In addition to my doctorate in Counseling Psychology, I received extra training from Postpartum Support International in order to provide specialized support in the perinatal period (conception, pregnancy, loss, birth and postpartum).
