Kendal Cassidy, Ph.D.

I hope you got a sense of what working with me will be like when reading my therapy pages, but if you are looking for more information about my credentials, training and prior experience I will briefly explain more here.

I am a licensed Psychologist in the state of Washington and I have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology. I am a member of Postpartum Support International and I have completed Postpartum Support International's internationally recognized evidence-based training, including the 14-hour Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care and the 6-hour Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training. I am always reading new research and material and looking for more trainings to enhance my knowledge on topics related to fertility, pregnancy, loss, birth and the postpartum period. I have a curious mind, but I also want to stay up-to-date to give you the best possible treatment.

I have worked in many settings, including a women’s health center, university counseling centers with college and graduate students, a gender research lab, a positive psychology research lab, community counseling, and a rehabilitation hospital.

My specializations in graduate school included training in positive psychology and gender related topics (including women’s issues and trans, non-binary and gender diverse individuals). I was also a university instructor for courses in positive psychology and gender and have lead trainings and workshops for increasing wellness.

I am a Colorado native, but I find Washington to be a beautiful sister state. The dense trees, water and endless mountain views have me planting roots.
